The National Association of Farm Broadcasting is the professional organization for farm broadcast journalists across the country, and Lindsay Hill, Gary Jackson, and I are proud members. Each November we gather in Kansas City, Missouri for our Annual Convention. One of the highlights is the opportunity to recognize our peers for their outstanding work in the business of reporting the news of America’s farm families. As past recipients of the Horizon Award, recognizing outstanding members with under five years membership, Lindsay and I both make it a point to attend the annual Awards Luncheon to celebrate and congratulate all the Honorees.

This year, it’s a good thing we were there. Much to our surprise and delight, ABN Radio received THREE awards for broadcast excellence from NAFB!
