Congressman Latta Talks Farms & Energy Costs on House FloorBlogging
Congressman Bob Latta (OH-5) spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives today about Ohio farm families’ dependence on energy, and how the escalating cost of fuel is putting the squeeze on these families’ ability to remain in business.
The Congressman visited several farms during the Holiday Recess, and got firsthand accounts of what the price of fuel really means to the folks producing our food supply. Matt and the crew at WMD have the text of the Congressman’s remarks, which were right on the money.
Congressman Latta will be joining Congressman Jim Jordon (OH-4) and Republican Leader John Boehner (OH-8) on the American Energy Tour, to highlight meaningful solutions to help reduce gas prices and break America’s dependence on foreign sources of energy. The group, including seven other Congressmen, will visit Colorado and Alaska to highlight ways to increase production of American energy to help bring down gas prices.
